St. John the Baptist Greek Festival 2008

Come and join in the fun of the 17th annual Greek Festival at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach, SC.  There will be delicious Greek foods and pastries that will tempt your palate and delight your taste buds.  Come and taste such foods as Greek salad, Spanikopita, Roasted Lamb, Gyros, and Mousaka.  There will also be Baklava ice cream.  You can eat at the festival or

take it home to enjoy.  Beer, Greek wines, and soft drinks will also be served.  Activities will be plentiful.  There will be children’s activities and Greek dancing and music, all live for your enjoyment.

The festival will also display a gift shop, vendor booths, and a coffee shop.  Church tours will be given and speakers will be present during the festival.  This year the church will be hosting a raffle.  All proceeds will go to the Waccamaw Youth Center and Citizens Against Spouse Abuse (C.A.S.A.).

• Where:  St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach, SC in the fellowship hall and the church grounds.
• When:  September 25th-September 28th, 2008.
• Hours:  September 25th from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., September 26th and September 27th from 11 a.m.-10 p.m., and September 28th from 12 noon-7 p.m.

Lodging is available at the many condos in the Myrtle Beach area.  Myrtle Beach condos are both affordable and within a nearby proximity.  Condo rentals in Myrtle Beach vary in price and style and offer a comfortable and relaxing stay in between festival visits.

This 4-day event will be informative, fun, and tasty!  As the Greek say, Opa!
