Wicked Stick, Myrtle Beach

John Daly teamed with Clyde Johnston to design his first ever signature course in Myrtle Beach.  The result is Wicked Stick which perfectly exemplifies Daly’s aggressive ‘grip it and rip it’ style of golf.  It is the only Daly course in the United States.

Set in Surfside Beach Wicked Stick is a public course that charges green fees of $57 to $94 and is playable to all handicaps.  It is one of the Myrtle Beach golf courses that is perfect for groups that have all skill levels.

One of the special features of Wicked Stick is that it doesn’t have any fairway bunkers.  You will only find bunkers around the greens. This gives the fairways plenty of landing room.  Wicked Stick has a traditional Scottish heathland style with a combination of holes.  There are 12 links style holes with 6 holes with traditional open fairways.

Also at Wicked Stick you will find:

• 15 minute tee times
• Water on 6 holes
• Dune fields
• Large waste areas

One of the most challenging holes on the course is undoubtedly the 18th.  It is a 528 yard, par 5 that features a sharp dogleg to the left and a green that is guarded by water on one side and three mini-bunkers on the other.  Accuracy is the key here because there is very little room for error.

Wicked Stick has some of the most knowledgeable and friendly staff among golf courses in Myrtle Beach.  It is also convenient to most Myrtle Beach condos.
